I'd call upon my wisest advisers, but Keeirby died and Eldred hasn't done anything since he had that concussion (and rarely acted before that; I sometimes forget about him), so instead I'll ask the idiot squad for assistance.

So, the longer we stay on the sand, the more likely we are to get across safely? Brilliant. You're a genius.

Oh God you're worse than the guy with the guitar. Listen, I don't take advice from people whose family trees are more tangled than the Gordian Knot.

...I can't do it. I just can't bring myself to make fun of the retarded man. Madotsuki, help me find this man's keeper; I think he wandered off while they were busy, and they're probably worried sick.

After much deliberation (three seconds worth, in fact), I just decided to put the weakest animal up front. I have no idea how this was supposed to help, but I suppose if it falls in then we can stop and safe the rest. Apparently this ox is working like the metaphorical canary.

Alright, there's no ice and that sure as Hell isn't a spring. I have no idea what a "slough" is but you've already missed two out of three.

This hill is barely taller than I am, and yet it fills me with dread. Someone explain the meaning of this to me.

The hills only get steeper from here, so before roping our way up, we should choose what to leave behind before gravity decides for us. Sooner or later, a wagon's gonna tip, and you don't wanna be surprised later over something we desperately need but was passed over as part of "various other items."
