Oh wow, I made two threads in one night. It's amazing.

So, on to the topic at hand. This is a Let's Play of Oregon Trail II. This is also the most interactive LP on the forum so far, as not only will you be able to name the characters, you shall also decide where we are coming from/going, what we take, how we get there (or die trying), and pretty much everything else. I'll follow majority vote, unless someone has such a great idea that I have to go with that.

First things first. We need names and ages for our wagoneers. First six people to post get to be/name a character. For age, it goes from 5 to 20, then all the way to 65 in increments of 5. The leader shall be decided by me, or rather, my six-sided die. And, so that I don't have to make the next post after the positions are filled, you can also vote on the other stuff we need before heading off, even if you don't get a spot.

Occupation: (see list below)
Date we set out on: Any month, years 1842-1860 (you can go as early as 1840, but there are fewer destinations there so that's boring
Starting city: Independence, St. Joseph (also the name of my elementary school), Nauvoo, and Kanesville/Council Bluffs (depends on the year; also, only Independence will be available in the earliest years, followed by St. Joseph)
Destination: Oregon City, the Sacramento Valley/Sacramento, the Rogue River Valley, Great Salt Lake City, and Jacksonville (once again, date affects this)
Wagon: small farmwagon ($60, pathetic), large farmwagon ($75, also pathetic), Conestoga wagon ($100, awesome; might require buffalo for pulling though)
You don't get to choose levels; Greenhorn is easymodo and Trail Guide will end in a game over if we lose leadership, a situation I believe will be inevitable. We're adventurers.

So, get posting, people. With your job/skill combination suggestions, try to be creative, since that can lead to interesting themes/writing.

Edit: Wagon places are closed, but we're still suggesting starting build suggestions.

I vote for gun toting maniac (gunsmith). Gotta have sharpshooting and blacksmith work.

Alright, so far so good.

A few more things. One, skill only applies to the leader, so we don't have to worry about getting a skill set for each character. Two, while the positions on the wagon are first-come first-serve, everything else is majority rule. Three... There isn't a three. Sorry.

Alright, all positions have been filled. Eldred, Gamer, Tyjet, you three were just minutes too late, sorry. On the bright side, you not being in this means that you won't die in some various horrific manner.

The dice have decided that Niro shall be the party leader. (I simply applied a number from one to six for each one, based on posting order, then rolled until one number accumulated three hits.)

Keep posting skill/location/wagon/date suggestions, people.

Edit: Nanoko told me in the chat that he's withdrawing, so Eldred got a place in. Niro's still the leader, as Nanoko wasn't the winner of the leadership position, so no changes there.
