GENTLEMEN, BEHOLD - 2.0

Post by Firebird » Mon May 27, 2013 3:22 pm

The thread of things you've made and want others to gaze upon returns!

For Christmas last year my parents bought a guitar kit for me. I've been working on designing a guitar on my own, but I've stalled on the design for a few years at this point. The kit came with a premade neck and body (routed, fretted, truss rod installed), so the only cutting I did was the headstock (it came as a massive slab, allowing for unique designs).

Due to a number of circumstances, I was forced to apply the red stain twice (applied once, sanded off, then applied again). Scratches in the wood, issues with the polyurethane coat, etc.

This picture was taken the first time I stained it:

I don't have any other in-progress pictures, so here's the finished guitar:

J-rock is the closest thing I can think of.

Far too much of a genre.

Dir En Grey's up there now, but they used to actually be pretty cool.
[nsfw, has nasty things :( ]

Pretty sexy guitar as a result. How does it sound?
Maybe I'm feel so weight and bigger
