Re: The DSP Movie Logs

Movie night with friends, watched Paranormal Activity. Wasn't bad, although a few parts seemed a bit weak. Enjoyed it for the most part, though, even though I wasn't scared much except in anticipation of jump scares (which there weren't too many off, although some of my friends screamed a lot). Then...

Re: The DSP Movie Logs

Watched REDLINE. It was really good; one of the best-looking animated films I've seen, and definitely very, very stylish. Plot isn't deep or anything, but it has a lot of interesting and entertaining characters, and overall I found it very entertaining. One review of it made me realize something, th...

Re: DSP Minecraft Server

Huh, I have that same problem. I thought it was just Minecraft disagreeing with my graphics card (it'll handle Dragon Age and the like fine, but one or two other otherwise low-end games upset it), but if I'm not the only one...

Re: DSP Minecraft Server

No idea which one it was, but I found a secret. Underwater, floor was redstone ore, roof was clay with a single block of netherrack, chest had some flowers and sponge in it. As I had no inventory space when I discovered it, I put a ton of my stuff in there instead and sealed the entrance; basically ...

Re: The DSP Movie Logs

Saw Tron Legacy at its midnight premier, since my roommate was really looking forward to it. It's about what I expected, great visuals and music, somewhat stupid and weak excuse plot, overall entertaining but not great. Don't see any reason you shouldn't watch it, but don't go in with too high of ex...

Re: The DSP Movie Logs

Watched Leon: The Professional (also known as The Professional and simply Leon ; not sure why it's got multiple variations here); thought it was really, really good. I definitely recommend watching the full version if you have to choose between the two; while I haven't seen the cut version, the scen...

Re: The DSP Movie Logs

Just rewatched Trick 'r Treat with my roommate in preparation for movie night next Saturday; since he's the one usually arranging those things, thought I'd run it by him. Still as great as it was last year, and while I could gush about it in here, I'll just say that this is pretty much the Halloween...

Re: DSP Minecraft Server

Note, Ghasts, enemies that make Creepers look friendly, sometimes spawn around the portals, albeit rarely. I don't think we want one in the newbie zone.

Re: DSP Minecraft Server

The download is on the main site, so unless the developer himself is sabotaging it you should be good. And the appeal is a huge, literally infinite world that is completely and utterly malleable, one you can pretty much change in any way you want, explore all the crevices and secrets of, and pretty ...

Re: DSP Minecraft Server

Seriously, is building a world block by block by block fun. Probably not. It's a good thing that's not at all what you do in Minecraft unless you're insanely dedicated; the world is randomly generated (worlds with a greater surface area than that of the Earth are possible), and you explore, kill th...

Re: DSP Minecraft Server

If you explore around a bit you might notice a giant "floating" platform. I am in the process of building a floating island (because I want a large one, which the game never makes, and because I want it over the ocean, which likewise never happens). It's currently really ugly but eventually it migh...

Re: The DSP Movie Logs

Silent Hill isn't exactly a bad movie, no. Looks good, definitely, and while not really scary for the most part, is pretty interesting. The witch plot was pretty silly, though, yeah, and the ending was something of a pointless downer that didn't really fit well with the rest of the movie, unless I m...

Re: You know what?

Feet and chairs generally do not mix. Unless you are flexible enough to put your feet under you in the chair, they do not belong on any chair. Chairs are not for feet. You are complaining about how your rudeness is not being tolerated. On the topic of sitting in front of people in general, I suppose...
